Help,I need to locate rear brake rotors for 1988 itaska on John deere chassis. John deere doesn't seem to handle chassis parts anymore. I don't know where to look for parts. Thanks for any information you can provide.
I have the 1988 Fleetwood Limited 37J on the John Deere chassis just like TJ Downs. I am having a major problem finding the brake rotors for the rear drive axle and Freightliner does not carry them anymore. It is the rotor for the single piston caliper, six bolt and 13.5" in diameter. If anyone has any part numbers or can guide me as to where I might be able to find these it would be greatly appreciated. I live in the Cincinnati area so I would be willing to drive to the source if necessary. I have checked already with the RV salvage yards as well and no luck. Hard to believe that nobody carries this rotor. Also, does anybody know if the dual caliper is a direct swap for this year MH or what is involved. Seems the rotor for this configuration isn't as difficult to find.
I have a 88 Fleetwood Limited 37J built on John Deere chassis.,Ford460 gasser,hydro-max disc brakes, Mor/ryde Tag axle, I had no trouble matching up brake disc and rotors at my local heavy duty truck parts store. The original build disc brakes were made and supplied by Bendix. The aftermarket parts were Euclid. Try
www.cccparts.com/index.asp. I recently replaced the Hydro-Max Brake booster, (Bendix), was regular stock item on the shelf at my local Ford Truck Dealer ($514.) outright. Good luck.
