|Starting system diagram for 1979 mallard coach motor home||Tim||4-14-09|
|I just got this camper. 1979 mallard coach, van chassis, Motor home. Someone had put a booster to it and now it will not turn over. There is no noise when you turn the key. Some said there is a fusible link some where and cannot find a wiring diagram. Please any help would be great.|

|I recently bought a '76 Mallard motorhome that wouldn't start. The previous owner had changed batteries,|
starter solenoids, had the starter checked out, but it still wouldn't start. I found a cable laying on the exhaust manifold that was burned through. It went to the transmission and controlled the switches that were supposed to prove that you were in either park or neutral. I bought a new cable and re-routed it so it was away from the exhaust manifold and it started
immediately. Don't know if this will be your' problem, but you might want to check it out. Also, make sure the starter solenoids are good, they can be checked with a 12 volt source either on a bench, or while in the vehicle. Just make sure you test the correct one, in my mallard, the one on the passenger side is the one that starts the vehicle.
