Fleetwood Motorhome wiring dirgram 1989 Dan 3-31-09
Can someone out there tell me where I can get a wiring dirgram for my 1989 Fleetwood Jamboree Motorhome. Electrical outlets on the refrigerator side not working all the time need to locate possible short. Thanks

As I simple took the frig side and rewired it under the bed in my 85 fleetwood pace arrow, as the ground fault is in my motor home on the drivers side and as fleetwood did not do all the wiring in the units, as u may have a short from the fuse box in the front on the lp side. As the fire wall fuses were wired for 12 volt alternator from engine as u did not have to have a generator of 110. As the size of your gen may be the problem as it could be a 4 kw or 5 kw and then some put 6.5 kw in. As the dynamic converter may be only a 20 amp and 30 amp and the gen a 30 and 30 amp
and so in the wiring a surge from the red wire feed in from the gen. As gens
make juice to rpms and 30 amps on both sides has a tendency in the front ac to sometimes get a over surge. As I have a 35 foot and a full schematic of gen and roof and all for my 85 if you can tell me the wiring scheme. As looking for some info myself on the wiring of these units. As some of these units were bluebird bus's so the wires that feed the speakers so large that a 1000 watt amplifier was under the dashboard so it could feed music to the rear and front speakers.

There are no electrical diagrams for your unit. The 110 volt roughly follows the rule for house wiring. We had hoped that Fleetwood would produce diagrams for their 2010 product but they went bust last week. If your GFI plug keeps popping check the element on the fridge and the element for the water heater. The out lets are chain wired so to track back the problem we usually just start taking them out of the wall and disconecting them untill the problem goes away. then running a new wire in the ofending area or repairing the fault. Good Luck

Casey, I believe your problem is because you do not have a swiching system that allows an automatic switch from 110 to running the generator. Check in the compartment where your power cord is stored, and see if there is a place to plug in the power cord. If so, just unplug from the power pole, and plug the cord into the box in the RV. Then start the generator, and see if your electric outlets work. My old 78 Southwind is like this. Hope this helps, Jerry.

I have a 1989 fleetwood cambria and there is a green wire on the generator that is not connected. The generator will turn over from the cab but will not start. Any one have an idea where the green wire goes?
