I have a 86 winnebago with a bad fuel selector. It is putting fuel through the main line even when you select the aux tank. The solonoid is getting warm when you put it on aux tank, but it does not switch. I tried tapping it and hammering it. Nothing.. Does anyone know where you can get a replacement for this. It says POLLAK on it, but im not having anyluck finding it. Thanks
It seem that the warming of the valve is probably a good indicator that power is reaching the valve...have you actually checked it out with a meter or a test light?
If the selecter valve is bad, they are available from various sources of truck or RV parts. Doesn't have to be the same valve, just make sure the ports are the size of the original. I've changed these on RVs and every one I have changed had the fuel lines connected with rubber hoses and clamps. Make sure the new valve is selecting the proper tank when power is on and when power is off.
