I have a 1995 winnebago vectra. G.M. p 30 chassis. My autopark light stays on. I have no park or e-brake. What causes should I be searching for. exacty where is this pin to release the e-brake located. It seems as if i should know that just in case.
When you shift out of park the autopark light should go off. If it does not go off that means that the hydraulic pump that compresses the e-brake spring is not working. If thats the case the parking brake should be applied. Look for a blown fuse or low fluid level in the autopark oil tank. Also you green pressure switch may be bad. It is a dealer item. There is P.N.s in this section. I've been replacing my green switch every 3000 miles because it starts leaking.
I have a 98 Pace Arrow. The fluid in my auto park reseviour is pink instead of red. The hydrolic pump doesn't seem to be activating as I am stuck in park. Do you think the fluid has been contaminated? By what? Is it possible that the service tech put the wrong fluid in? I am thinkning brake fluid or synthetic gear oil maybe? Would that cause it to turn pink and ruin the pump?
