I have a La Sharo w/ a 4 cyl engine, and a front wheel drive auto trans. I parked it, and now it won't go into gear, out of park. I bent the cable trying to get it to switch. I noticed that there are wires entering the tranny, by the lever shaft. Is there an electrical connection which allows the tranny to go into other gears than park?

Not sure that they had safety lock on the shifter back then, but it could be. in any case those sharo have fan & you should get accurated infos there:http://www.lesharorv.com/viewtopic.php?t=156
