I have an old travel mate camper with a Hydroflame BRC-10A furnace. It seems to work fine until it gets hot and then it makes a roaring noise like an uncontrolled flame in the combustion chamber. When this happens sometimes I can turn the thermostat down and the main burner will go off but sometimes I have to turn it off on the main/pilot knob to get the main burner to shut off.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? The thermocouple is working and the thermostat turns the burner on/off. What might be the problem. The furnace isn't meant to roar is it?
