4x4 problems with a 1998 Mazda b4000 Stephen S. 11-27-08  
Lets just get down to the basics

when i went to use my 4x4 to get out of my driveway... it worked fine

when i got to the top of my driveway and decided i didnt need it i took it out of 4x4.... ofc i got stuck

so when i tried putting it back into 4x4 it didnt engage... it acts like its in 4x4 but the front wheels wont spin

the light that shows that it is in 4x4 will flash every 1-2 mins

when i go to back up it doesnt want to move and frequently stalls

wat seems to be the prob?

The blinking lights are a tip-off; you have a problem with the 4WD controller or the shift motor itself. It's very common for the electric motor that shifts the transfer case to fail in just that manner.
