I recently purchased a 'used' 1988 Lance Slide-In (my pickup) Truck Camper. When Hurricane Ike forced us to evacuate from SE Texas (Galveston Island), I tried both plugging it into electrical and also LP Gas. The coils only got warm and the Refrigerator never did cool? I have contacted various 'suggested & recommended' repair places and all they tell me is to "buy a new one, and give me a chuckle!" Well, I am retired and on Social Security so I can not afford paying $1100.00 for a new one plus $300.00 for labor. I tried Camping World on the west side of Houston but they didn't seem to care? I did contact Dometic...the replacement is a RM2510.2 but of similar costs. Can ANYBODY help me PLEASE. Thanks
There are many places on the web that sell rebuilt cooling units. They say that a person with resonable mechanical skills can install. Also there are places with trouble shooting guide to help determine the problem.
