I have a class B RV that I plan to park in my drive way when not in use. However my driveway has an incline. I know RV refrigerators are supposed to be level when in use but what about not in use? Will it harm my unit if my RV is parked on an incline for several days at a time?
It may be a problem if you store it upside down but any relitvely normal condition still mounted in the trailer won't hurt it. The fridge wants to be "comfortably" level to operate. I take that to mean if you can sleep on the bed its Okay. Good Luck
My motorhome's fridge will not cool when parked on our gradually sloping driveway. The burner or electric heater unit makes the piping hot, but no cool in the fridge.
However, when parked on the level street, or partially leveled with jacks, it cools normally. Suggest you test the performance of the unit on your driveway and if it cools normally it should be fine.
The best way is to get a refrigerator bubble. If the bubble falls within the circle....you are good to go....if not make adjustments. The sleeping in the bed is one test....other is put water in the sink....if it leaves a puddle in one side....it is a no go..level the motorhome.
I can tell by the responces that I may have not made myself clear. Is it okay to park your RV on an incline (not level) with the refrigerator OFF, NOT TURNED ON, for a few days?
