My 90 Ford Southwind had not been started in about two months. Engine battery was dead...used the booster overide start switch allowing me use coach batteries for added power. Engine turned over and started, idled for a moment. When I released the booster switch the engine died and would not restart. I have spark at the plugs, it wants to start when primed with starting fluid. I do not hear the in-tank fuel pump working though. It was replaced about 7 years ago. The engine is fuel injected. There is no "fuel system" fuse in the fuse block. Is there an inertia reset switch? Where is the fuel pump relay? Is there an in-line fuse somewhere? It is a 34' class A. This is a good running rig with few mechanical problems. Need some help here..
I have a 1989 fleetwood flair with a ford 460 with the same problem. Could you tell me where you found the fuel relay or switch? I have two fuel pumps, one on the frame by the trans and one in the engine. My was cuting out and in when I hit bumps, so I might have a wiring problem.
