We just purchased a 76' Dodge Titan with a 440. The starter was bad and too small so we replaced that. Now the carb doesnt seem to be getting an gas. It backfires, and smokes. We replaced all the points and plugs. My husband put some kind of temporary fule pump on it and now its getting too much gas and flooding out. If we turn it off it will not start again. OK... the husband says he thinks he knows what is wrong with it but I sat in the kitchen and could see him sitting there just staring at the carb for like 30 min. He doesnt have a clue. Any suggestions?? |
