Ok guys I got a 1998 s10 extended cab 2wd
it is a 2.2 4cyl 5 speed. and my question is if I buy a fullsized chevy or camaro with a 305 or 350 that already has a 5 speed in them. what parts will I be missing? that I will have to buy after I get the parts vehicle please help me as soon as you read this if you can help me.

I have an 89' s-15 pickup with a 2.8L v6, 4wd, 5-speed manual transmission. I would like to convert it to a 4.3L or a 350. what is your opinion on this? where should i go to find out more about converting?
A friend went to all the trouble to re-power an S-10 with a 350 V-8. After doing so, his opinion (and mine!-definitely!!) was that it was not worth the trouble. The S-10 has very small brakes and poor handeling. The rear axle is also quite weak for the additional power. The front springs are not designed to handle the extra weight. The difference in performance between a regular SWB C-10 (full size) pickup with the same engine will not be nearly as much as you think, as the difference in weight when you are through will only be maybe 300-400 pounds. (Put 350 pounds in a regular C-10 pickup, and see how much it slows it down)

I had a local shop swap my 4.3 out of my 1993 s10 to a 350 from a 78 gmc pick up and we put cams and a few outer things into it it has a carb.. the old eng as u know was efi... well now they are saying it will not go into 1st gear...i am told that the reason it wont is cuz of the 350 not having a tps for the trans to read???? i never new the tps talked to the trans.. but i am not an ase mechanic so idk.. please any any help you can lend i wold appreciate.. thank you in advance.. I have a 91 s-10 with a 355 engine in it I took all the computer and wires out of it also the old heaterbox with air was removed and replaced with a smaller nonair box which wires do I hook up to the new heaterbox to get it to work and which wires do I need to start it with.
I have a 1992 s-10 and i am doing the swap right now i am looking for motor mounts for my motor not able to find any looking to buy some get back to me plz
What you will need to do is rip out the electronic transmission and install an older 700r4 or an older mechanical transmission the leignth should be the same for the 700r4 as your 4l60e that you currently have so it should pritty well fit right in. (you may need to modofy the shifter thoe)
