I have a HT 413 mopar from a winnebago. I do know its a 413 though rare thats whats on yhe engine pad.my question is how rare is these engines and isit a possible performance bb like the more popular big blocks. and what hp numbers are possible with this engine.
thanks yubon gibson
The 413 is tourque monster from the factory, edelbrock used to supply an intake, any 440 headers will fit allowing port size and shape match. The deck hight is taller and so are some of the internal components. Be carfull what you match up but they can be hopped. Reputedly all big block dodge heads fit. Intakes do not.
Good Luck
Depending on the winnebago, but it most likely has truck heads and water pump different from cars. can be swapped, but the 413 moorhome engine has 7-8 to 1 compression, by having the piston down in the hole from the deck surface at top dead center. good for a turbo or supercharger, but naturally aspirated (carb) you need more compression to make horsepower.
to answer your q, it is possible to get 700 hp from a mopar rb block (like yours) it just takes money. to get 400 hp from your 413, i would guess at least $1500
RE: you message on getting 700 hp out of the HT 413 I would love more info. I am currently building this engine for a monster mud truck. I have plans of 11.5 : 1 compression, a cam with 292 dur. 509 lift. Dual Quad tunnel ram. A set of heads with the 2.08 X 1.77 valves. Do you know how close I will be to acheive the 700hp
Just aquire a 413ht and tranny from a 73 dodge concorde rv that i plan on putting in a 1968 international pickup truck c-class 1000.will be placing headers also. Any help with this motor would be all so helpful
