I'm having problems starting the RV. My freind thinks it's the coil, my husband thinks it's the ignition box and a shade tree mechanic came out and said it was the heat sheild. My husband says there is no way the heat sheild would have any effect.
Need more info...is it not starting or hard starting....Chrys notorious for hard start hot..thermo Quad Carb boil over. No start could be ballast resistor(jump across the terminals while starting) then release

Is this a breakerless ignition with a two-resistor ballast and a gold ingnition module having one big transistor visible and a five-pin connector? I had a Dodge mechanic tell me the magnets in the distributors go weak. Apparently the engine'll keep running when/if it starts, but has trouble triggering spark at cranking speed.
