Just got our 1984 Winnebago Elandan home. We bought it cheap and were told the 454 engine is siezed. I have not tryed to turn the engine. I have Marvel oil and was planning on squirting some in each cylinder. I thought about putting gas in the tank, hooking up a battery and seeing if it turns over. It seems that would be too easy. I was told it would not be seized from sitting for six years, it had to have been run without oil or overheated. Please give me your thoughts on this.
Not knowing why it has seized --be sure oil is full Marvel oil might be just fine in each cylinder leave the plugs out-take a long bar and try to move crank both ways---possibly that you can break it loose---but it might be easier to drain the oil and turn the enging over remove the oil pan---see what's wrong on the bottom, might be full of metal---and all is lost---if it is.

Might also loosen the starter motor a check teeth on it.Sometimes the starter will get jammed in the flywheel and lockup things.Does not happen often but would be an easy fix.Does not sound to good but good luck MIKE
