1985 p-30 champion /titan motor home 25,000 original miles runs great uses no oil but when i stop the engine souds like it is laboring to get up to speed until i am at a constant speed for about 6-8 minutes i dont think the trans is slipping shifts are crisp and acceleration is good . is there some type of contol that is installed on a motor home that could be failing

Let's see if I've got it right. With engine warmed up to operating temp, you stop at a traffic control sign or light, then you start out, engine sounds like it's struggling, ( lots of exhaust noise and pushing on gas doesn't have much affect). This goes on for 6-8 minutes then you're up to speed and everything's OK, ( good acceleration from cruising speed, pulls strong on hills, engine temp is good, etc). Everything is fine until the next time you stop, did I get it right?

It's just the clutch fan. If it stops doing that, you will have a problem.
