I have a 89 P30 Winebago with 454 Heavy Duty imession, Air inject reactor system. I think my Air Temp Switch or relay switch is not working. My Clutch fan does not always kick in at 210 degs as it used to. Can any one tell me were to locate the Air Switch and the Relay.

I'm sure your engine is equipped with TBI, (throttle Body Injection), the throttle body looks like a carburtor with the top half missing. Since this means you have a computer controlled fuel management system, the computer needs input from various sensors, one of these being the Air Temp. Sensor, or ATS. It's screwed into the throttle body to inform the computer of the temperature of the air being taken into the intake manifold. This information is used by the computer to precisely measure the amount of fuel, ("on" time of the two injectors in the throttle body), to mix with the incoming air. Your fan clutch is purely mechanically controlled by a bimetal spring on the front of it, dead center.

My motor home is carb, not TBI, The chassis is a 88 model year and the Check engine light only montors the Air inject reactor system ( mainly air pumps). Do you have any recommendations were the Air Temperature may be located on this configuration?

My motor home is and 88 model year and does not use TBI. The check light system mainly monitors the Air injection Reactor systems and from what I have read is not very safisticated. Do you know were the Air Temperature Switch is located in this configuration? Thanks for your responce.

I have a 1990 P-30 and had an intermittent engine light that would reset after shuttin it down only to come on later. Problem was the O2 sensor on the exhaust - it wasn't updating the computer fast enough. Changed it out and haven't had a problem since.
