When we changed lanes we heard a squealing, hissing, different pitches noise. We pulled over, no visible problems. Engine sounds fine, get back on the road - after a few minutes, starts again. Engine sounds different, maybe "straining" a little. It drove fine, no overheating, no warning lights, (by the way - 1978 Explorer 26" class A) Just this varied bunch of noises - Any ideas?? Thanks
Pull the engine cover off and drive with it again....see if you can hear where the sound comes from....fan clutch, AC compressor, alternator..etc....
