Ford triton v10 motorhome steve 10-9-10
I have a 1999 winnebago cheiftan 34'. the ford v10 is called a triton. i had a chip put in and hp tested at about 265. shortly after that setup (1000 miles) my mechanic heard a tapping and id'ed the problem as a rod tapping. i ran royal purple in it. it has 39000 miles. any ideas why it would fail. if i rebuild or replace the motor can i get 365 hp out of the new setup and how? how much will it cost?
thanks Steve

Looks like you wasted good money on the chip...the 6.8 V10 triton, for that year, only produces....265BHP anyway.

Whats the best way to remove the engine out of a 2000 class A Motorhome with a V10 6.8 Triton Engine?
