Hydrogen generators are a scam!!! Don't pay a penny for plans etc. If you want to try this get junior high science book and read up. The problem is not that they dont work but that a car can not provide enough electrical power to seperate enough hydrogen and oxegen from water to power the engine. The easiest way to think about it is stored energy. To split the water into H2 and O you will expend a certain amount of power. Due to the mechanical proccess and electrical proccess not being perfectly eficent you will not get the same energy back. So you need an big engine producing electricity to produce hydrogen to run a small engine driving the car (1/3 the size or smaller) Mythbusters did a segment on this and the engine started for a split second but they disconted this as residual fuel. I belive it was the oxegen and hydrogen burning off. That is what one of these instruction kits get you. Good Luck |
