There is a fuel filter behind the 1" fitting that the fuel line screws into on the carburetor. Use two wrenches, one to hold the 1" fitting and a tubing wrench to loosen the fuel line fitting. (they tend to be over-tightened) On my 1984 P30 there is also a filter on the inside of the right (passenger) side frame rail about half-way between the front and rear axels.
