I have a 1988 32' Winnebago 454 chev, when we last used it (about 6 weeks ago) on our way home we ran into heavy stop and go traffic, all was well until I hit the stop and go traffic, as I would try and accelerate it would miss and have some backfiring, I was going to pull over and call for help but it came out of it and off I went. the problem is that as soon as I get to a stop light or intersection it seems to load up again once it sets and is not moving forward, I have been told by a mechanic it sounds like possibly a fuel filter, if so my question is twofold, does that sound like a possible fuel filter problem and secondly, if it is where would I find the fuel filter, maybe on the frame rail somewhere? any tricks to changing a fuel filter?. Thanks to anyone who may be able to help!!
