I have one that is failing at just about 5-6 miles as i'm driving down the highway.
It feels like its running out of gas and then the engine just dies with a lot of loud backfiring.
In my case, after it cools for maybe 1/2 an hour it starts working again. I bought a new one about 2 weeks ago and it was $8 from NAPA. Another 5 miles and it dies again.
I'm wondering if there isn't an add on resistor that can be added, or one that has a little more resistance to eliminate the overheating. |
