I have a 1984 Winnibego P30 454 and I was wondering if anyone has changed the 4 barrel carb to a 2 barrel carb. I know I will lose power, but I'm thinking the gas savings will off-set the get up and go.
I have not heard of anyone sucsesfully doing this. I have heard of people rigging a heavy spring on the secondarys so they could tell when they steped in to them or wiring a micro switch to run a light on the dash for the same reason. I think you will find that you will get better results for a lot less money if you just don't use the secondarys. The Primaries on a rochester while quite small do a good job of mixing fuel etc. The secondarys are horible for mixture and mixing the fuel and air. Holley used to make a 500 cfm 2 barrell but I have not seen an adaptor. Check with them. Good Luck
