My bounder seems to run fine in daytime or early evening, but early morning and night it does not want to throttle up. It seems to just die down, if I let off throttle it will idle then I can continue on till it does it again. seems like night air or moisture causes this problem. any help out there.
Very likely Ignition failure as you describe-IE-distributor cap and rotor even wires and possibey the coil--the coil has a ground strap on it---is it there.?..But you didn't say you have a "miss" -Have you also changed the fuel filter-

I have 86 Coachmen 454 with similar problems - starts, runs a while then just dies. Where is fuel filter? Does it have in-tank pump? There appears to be a soleniod energized by ignition switch that routes power to coil and distributor - could this be opening?
