Need your input Richard 3-12-08
I recently bought a 94 Ford 250 Eldorado camper van. I want to add a gen. to run the roof air. There is a small space where a gen. can be placed. Does anyone have one of these with a gen? If so, what gen. was used? Does anyone have anything (GOOD OR BAD) to say about any RV gen. that would fit, or any suggestions on what they would buy. Rich

First, get the dimensions of the area for the genset. Make sure you can ventilate it, and you have room to service it.

Then find out how big (kW) of a genset will fit.

Finally, find out how much kW the A/C unit needs. Remember, most A/C's pull about 5X the running kW when they start.

As the previous owner of an Arctic Fox, I found that the best place to put a genset was on a rack under the back of the camper. But that depends on the camper and the truck.
