1997 what??? You should have firing order listed on the intake manifold. #1 is usually front left or right side plug. Once you have determined which is #1, pull off distributor cap and bump the engine to determine which direction the distributor rotor is moving, then you can just follow the listing on the intake manifold. Hope this helps.
