I also have a kohlr 7000 in my 85 diplomat. my problem is that when i try starting my gen. it won't stay running. it starts,but then shuts off. if i hold the starter button down half way it stays running. i don't know what wire is what,(like where and which wire is the ign. wire ). could really use some help here. thanks.
