I have a 1993 Coachmen Santara. AFter running the a/c unit for 20 minutes or so it trips the breaker. It did this about 4 times. The last time it took out all the power to the entire RV. I've replaced the breaker with a new one, and still have no power. I'm getting power from the box on the lot, and up to the end of the 30amp power cord. Even the electrician is stumped.
I'm having electrical problems with my 1998 Dodge Caravan. The dealer has charged me over and over saying they have fixed the problem to the point we have given up and have gone broke. I can only explain what happens; at any given time I go to start the van it turns over dies I try again it will start and immediately die and won't stay running. After 4 or 5 tries, it won't even turn over. The dash indicators light up but I can't go. I'm an older lady and when I break down I get quite upset as every time they say they've fixed the problem taken our money and the problem is still there. Can you help me figure out what the problem is as battery, cables have been ruled out (replaced 2 in less than 2 years) and now they say it may be the alarm but when they test it the tester says it OK. I had it towed in the time before now (sitting at dealers while they scratch thier heads da) and when its running it doesn't show any problems. If you know of anyone else who has had this problem it would be greatly appreciated any info I can collect to get the dealer to do their job. Thank you, desperate in Calgary :(
Power at 110v is fine Power at 12v is non-existant. I have purchased a new battery on reversed polorization and get no 12v power inside the trailer either way.
This trailer has a built in convertor to charge the 12v battery whenever connected to 110v.
I am curious if this converter could be the problem or if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
We have a 1984 southwind. it will be running fine and then die for a second then restart. If you give it gas it will backfire, but if you take your foot off the gas it will restart. sometimes it will go 150 miles or more then die and restart 5 or 6 times in a mile then go 50 or 100 miles before doing it again. you will see the gauges go dead then come right back on. we have replaced the coil,rotor,module,condenser,dis-cap. A friend of ours has the same problem and has replaced the switch and rewiring and it didn't fix it. He has had the same problem for 3 or 4 years. Help!!!
