We own a 99 National Tradewinds class A motorhome that needs new house batteries. The four in the coach now are Interstate 6V U2200. I was wondering how close I need to match what's there? Can I use any Deep Cycle 6V battery? I can save some serious change if I can put something else in there. Thanks.
Dan.
I don't know if you consider saving as cheaper NOW and then find yourself spending agian in two or three years, I have found with BATTIERS that the BEST are the best for a reason. I Do use Deep cycle and 6 v is the way to go, Get the BEST you can afford now and that usually means Interstate or somesuch, and As long as you can fit battiers in the tray a little larger usaly gives you a little longer.. it is a pure and simple chemcial reaction contianer and more checm or more room to have such resutls in LONGER use! MAINTANCE is a BIG part of saving money
If you have room try and fit golf cart batteries in. They run about 70.00 a pieice but are well worth the extra price for the power they give you. You can run a whole weekend dry camping with no problem and run all you electronics (well except your microwave).
