Gen runs when start button is pushed,shuts down when released.Done all checks in service manual & they all checked out except for on the board test,when you check p1-5 to p2-1 shows 0,p2-5 to p2-1 shows 0,p2-6 to p2-1 & also p1-1 to p1-7 also shows 0. Does anyone know what is wrong when these fail. Thanks P.S. The only way to get it tro run is with a hot wire.
I have the same problem along with no electriity coming from the generator itself, both problems occured at the same time, but dont think they are related? If you figure it out please let us know.
It seems I may of fixed my problem. I read on another message board about this having to do with the electric fuel pump and they recommended to connect a wire from the red wire at the fuel pump to the positive side of the coil and see if it stays running. I tried this and it triggered something and now runs fine without the wire connected. I will see how long it lasts, but the general area of the problem has been found at least if it does go out again.
