I need a wireing schematic for fuel transfer pump on a 2001 Dodge 2500 RAM,
with a 5.9 L Cummins Deisel. I am not getting power from ECM to the transfer pump. Would this be solviable by having the ECM reflashed.
My 1995 S-10 2.2 liter has electrical problems. Sometimes the dome lights won't even come on. Have trouble getting the engine to start. Won't make contact when I turn the ignition. Sometimes it will if I pump the clutch. What's wrong? I have a new battery. The old one kept draining as if there was a connection on, when I let it sit over night.

My power windows stopped working on my 2001 chevy impala. you can still hear the motor sometimes. I have replaced all the switches, including the master switch. None works..I have also noticed that on some days my power switch for adjusting my outside mirrors does not work, on other days it does. I need an engine wiring digram, for a 1992 Mercury Sable LS w/ 3.8 liter engine. I have lost fire to all spark plugs, and fuel injectors. I have replaced the coil, distributor, ignition switch. Also I tried another ignition module, and ECM with no help. I'm using an Haynes Car Repair Manual, it said to check for voltage on wires 2,3,and 4 feeding into the ignition module. Wire #2 should have voltage with the ign. switch in the run position, #3 should have voltage with the switch in the start and run position, #4 should have voltage in the start position only. #2 & 3 are correct, but #4 never has voltage, where does this wire come from the wire color is white w/ a red tracer. Any help you can give would be very helpful, I just about run out of options and ideas.

I have a 1970 Grizzly, Smokey 14' camper. It has a 7 wire plug on it and I can't get the brake, turn, and stop lights to work. I have even tried to just hook-up a simple 4 wire flat plug and still can't get it to work. I have all power working from the truck and to the inside of the camper. I connected the white wire to the side of the trailer toung for a ground. I disconnected the wires from the 7 wire plug and am only using the green, yellow, and brown wire. They all work inside the camper. When I try to hook-up a new trailer light to it, it will not come on. What have I done wrong?

I have a boat trailer to wire. The wiring harness is as follows.
1. white = ground
2. green with brown tracer
yellow with brown tracer
3. yellow = left direct & brake
4. green = right direct & brake.
That leaves lug # 2, the green/w br tracer and yellow w/br tracer.
there is a side light or running light on each side of the trailer. Also the tail lights therefore where do those to wires go to.

Hi-i have a 85 chev sio that i put in 4 cyl from 89 along with all wiring
when i turn ignition the brown wire for the fuel pump doesnt power up for approx 5 secs ( too long cranking!)
then it fires n runs fine then when switched off it stops and the brown wire remains live approx 5 secs
since then i found the f/pump relay which appears to be working - when i turn ign on another brown wire powers up foir approx 2 secs then stops -but the brown wire disappears into wiring harness-can i simply join 2 brown wires together so when ign turned on it powers up pump before cranking -then it should run as normal?

I hooked up a prodigy brake controller on my 2002 Chev silverado pick up.
There is no power going to the contoller. I purchased a factory made wire harness to connect the controller to the truck. I have brake lights and running lights and directionals when the trailer is plugged in but no activity showing on the controller. I tried the controller in my friends truck and it works fine.

I have just put in power shower 10.5kw the old one was 8.5kw. a new boiler and a wall heater in the bathroom.but now everytime i take a shower the fuse in the main power box trips off every 5mins.do i need a higher fuse switch.

I checked the wiring to the water pump and it doesn't register having any power going to it. So, I believe the water pump is good but is not receiving any power. I hope you can help with this. Something is draining my battery
I have checked everything and the Regulator and alternator are O.K.
the problem seems to be in the wiring harness thar is routed just down of the radiator and from there I can not follow the lines, my car is a 4 door 1977 ford maverick, testing in the starting relay there is a 50 ohms
resistance between ground and that branch of the wiring harness, if somebody have an idea, welcome

I just bought a 1998 1 ton gmc with dual tanks. someone repalce the fuel pump between the front tank and back tank and rewired it. with key on that fuel pumps runs all the time and if front tank full the gas runs out on the ground. I connect the fuel pump wires back to the orignal wires, How can I check, or test this to make sure it is working right..I would like to have a wireing dirgram.

I need to know if my field connections are correct on the alternator for a 1976 Dodge 440. There are two terminals, one pointing up at 12 o'clock the other at 3 o'clock. Currently the green wire is connected to the former and the red to the latter. I put a new alternator in and replaced the voltage regulator because i was getting 16+ volts to the battery. I am still getting this high voltage and am wondering if these connections are reversed.

I have a 1985 pace arrow 35 foot motor home that I am rewiring from front to back it has a 6.5 kw Onin generator which was part of the problem as the dynamic converter twin throw switch is in these units only a 20 amp and a 30 amp box. as 4.0 or 5.0 generators was the norm for these units. As the secound AC has a 20 amp breaker and the power cord is a 30 amp. As I have traced the schematic back in the unit but you can not use this for actual repairs as each unit is different. And
so I am converting mine over to a 30/30 amp like the generator is equiped. As the units seem to me to be old bus frames and mine has ford silenodes in it so I am setting murphy gauges to the engine part and seperating the alternator from the generator unit. As it has a HEI ignition so I am wiring the GMC part like a industrial power unit with auto shut downs as well as the gen with auto shut downs. As the front was originally wired in these units for no generator the 15 fuses under the hood
that run the step and ref. as well as
several other things. As the converter
wires run under the floor across from the refrig, to the stovehood, and then a red and white wire runs to the firewall. As these wires are so one can charge the batterys from the convertor to under the hood. As the converters appear to be a marine batterys, which take a slow charge I am seperating the units. As one may get back feed threw the converter when the alternater runs, as it should have only been allowed to charde 40 amps max to the batterys and the converter is a 10 amp charger. As this will explain why u may have problems with the light covers in the 12 volt system burning wholes into them. As the front AC takes 20 amp max one need make sure in the system that if a 20 and a 30 amp breaker in the generator system that the red wire hook to the secound AC. As am puting in a amp meter gauge in my auto shut down save

and am relocating the AC switches out of the closet to under the bed. This allows one to get rid of several feet of 110 wire. As well at the generator am installing a 220 outlet so one can feed back in juice where available to
110/110 to AC units. Plan on seperating the marine batterys from the
chassis's auto battery. As the unit will have machanical shut downs in Vacum Tempeture Oil and a Amp metter gauge as well as a murphy shut down switch on the engine power unit as well as the dash electrical gauges. As the 454 in the unit will have fusable links like the early 70's and late 60's
to feed the fuse box in the unit as the minnie fuse box should of been a old buss fuse box. Like the 15 fuses under the drivers side engine compartment on the fire wall. As the cruise is low micro voltage and the rest high voltage in 12 volt, or if one chooses they can 24 volt go. As it is the basic way to wire auto/dc/converter/ac/and 110 voltage.
from under hood fuses to converter fuses to breaker boxes. plan to instal a solar charger in the system to allow battery charging when stored. As deep cell batterys seem to over charge in the system now. has anyone else noticed this? U can simple think in the fact that the 454 did not have a catelatic convertor with the smog pump

Hi, my 2001 Taurus was vandalized and the ignition was smashed to point that the entire column had to be replaced. I did a straight swap with a bone yard unit and upon hooking up the battery and turning the key, I got a clicking sound out of the top left relay.All the dash lights work,but something unussual was the theft light blinks non stop,and on the right is an excemation mark inside a gear.I have power to the firewall but none at the solinoid. Do I have to reset the anti-theft box,is there a code? Thanks,Ian

I have a 89 southwind chev 454 and it has a isolator module and a ford style solenoid which I think I am having trouble with,please can you tell me if by using a multi meter(digital) with my engine running should I see 13.5-14 volt on my house batteries as the same as my engine side when I test at the batteries ?When I check at back of alt I have 13.5-14 as normal but at the solenoid by this module I have 13.5 on one side terminal but lower on the other side so it looks like it is not charging but is it because it is supposed to?THANKS for any help.

I am hooking up a 4 pole plug toa trailor on an 85 dodge ram.I have the yellow wire to the right blinker,green to the left blinker, brown to the parking lights(one wire to both lights).When I turn any blinker on,both blinkers blink.the reason is that the brown wire(parking)is connected across the lights to the red wire from the lights where the green wire(left blinker) is connected to the same red wire on one side and the yellow wire(right blinker)is connected to the red wire on the other light.the brown wire links them together.What can I do so both lights don't blink at the same time?

I have a 94 chevy astro conv. van both power windows don't work I tested them and the only wire that shows power going through it was the RED. Each switch has a brown,blue,blue w/white strip,red and black are all the color wires except for the black to have power in them? Also there are prongs on the switch when they are conected is power running through them cause 2 prongs light up on passengers side and the RED wire and prong on drivers side light up, it even sparked.

Don't know if you found the fuse but I located mine after removing the camera monitor. The fuse was in a hole under the TV where the camera monitor mounts.
The fuse is located on wiring that goes from rear of backing Monitor, if Monitor is up by sun visor then it is behind the left hand speaker. Trace cable from back of back Monitor up behind speaker or unscrew plastic cap that wires pass thru you may be able to pull fuse thru. Otherwise you may have cut small slit at back of cabinet where TV Antenna box for all TV coax cables conect too. Hope that helps. I import Cachmen Mirada into New Zealand.

To have used the WHITE wire as ground is totally blitz... the proper wire for the ground is GREEN it doesn't matter what you are hitching up AC/DC they both use the Green wire as either a ground or a secondary ground...now what could be confusing if you didn't know the difference is that in DC the black is used for a ground also...but not in AC!!!! that is your HOT wire.
after you decide to use the GREEN wire to attach to your frame or hitch APPLY 12vdc (volts direct current)to the remaining wires you will have to go to the back and see which lamp is burrning and make mental note or put on paper then move on to the next wire..so on and so forth until you have all the wires attached (Yes, one by one)here is where the mental part comes in... which two wires made your bulbs brighter in the back!? they go to your turn signals the other two to your brake lamps then there is one for your license plate(provided you are using one) the other wire's there go to the inside if your trailer to provide you with light.
If you are testing it coming from the truck, car or van which ever you have you need a test light. connect the alligator clip to a good known ground and turn your park lights on go to the back and probe the end to each point until you have power to one or you might have two one for the park and one for the tag light (that all depends on how someone wired it and that is up to you to find out) note the location or pin #, do this for each function turn,brake ect.

To help you solve your radio wiring issue...Wal-Mart carries after market wiring harnesses for stereo components. They are relatively innexpensive and should work to help match with your existing wires.
There might be an inline fuse check to see if you are getting fire to the end of it if no fire u will have to find the inline fuse or it could be a broke wire which you can see some times and sometimes you can not see a broke wire like i said check for fire on the end of it if you get it fixed or not let me know

I have an 86 suburban and this is how i set mine up, i have a relay switch mounted on my inner fender, this relay runs my distributor, fuel pump, and electrical fan. its very easy to hook up. my truck was converted from a tbi to a carburated engine so all the wiring harnesses associated with a tbi have been removed. i just hardwired this relay to turn on these 3 things when i turn my ignition to run, it stays hot until i turn the ignition off. if you would like a picture of it i will send you one, makes much easier in the future trying to track electical issues.

Hi, I repair campers for a living, and I believe that the problem you are having is a bad ground. I suggest you start there by changing your ground wire on your wanter pump and/or converter.
On a 1985- 1992 astro van the wiring harness for an astro van is simple, the green, brown, yellow, and white, and black wires in rear of vehicle behind plastic side wheel panel is the best location, but you would need to do the following: drill a hole where you want the wiring to go through, next put wiring harness for hookup into hole under carpet, and run the yellow, and green with the black wires to left or driver side of van, hook up to color coded wires, as well with the remaining wires of brown and white to passenger side, hook up to color coded wires

I have a '92,Chevy, 6.5 TD, and the dash wiring is hosed. I tried troubleshooting with a Chilton's but couldn't find the wiring blocks to do continuity checks. I've got it now where the radio lights but doesn't operate; the heater lights, but you can't adjust the heater; and the fuel gage swings back and forth. Some of the other dash sensors seem a little jumpy. I took the dash apart and it looks like somebody has been in there because there were several splice points to the mfg installed equipment (like the dash dimmer switch). What is my best course of action (the truck runs fine): buy a new wiring harness, but I don't know where to find the wiring blocks; or send it to an electrician? I live in North Central WV and I don't know of a good electrician.
I HAVE A 1993 FORD RANGER PICK UP AND MY BLINKERS HAVE STOPPED WORKING I HAVE CHECKED ALL FUZE,S AND CHANGED OUT THE FLASHER AND CHECKED ALL THE BULBS AND CHECKED THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER BUT STILL HAVE NO BLINKERS,CAN YOU PLEASE HELP BY SENDING ME A COPY OF THE WIRING HARNESS TO MY E-MAIL SO I CAN GO THROUGH IT STEP BY STEP.AND MAYBE YOU CAN GIVE ME A SUGGESTION TO GO ON AND THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND TIME.
I would go to nearest parts store and get each vehicles service manual and c the wiring diagrams unless u prob ben there dun that this mite not help but thats were i would start good luck

Check your main fuses, we have a 1994 explorer that did the same thing we thought it was the fuel pump but to our surprise and a few hundred dollars later we found that the eec fuse was just cracked enough to sometimes work, we sat at many different locations waiting for the fuel pump to kick on and it wasn't that at all.

I have an 83 HR Imperial 33'. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out this wiring thing. right now I am SLOWLY making progress with how the AC works. I don't have any manuals to help. Right now I am trying to understand how the two breaker boxes are actually connected into the coach circuit and how they work with the two transfer switches. Eventually I want to work my way into the DC circuit and charging circuits along with the battery isolator and relays......ugh! I hope you can offer some wisdom and point me in the right direction. I alternator issues,I'm getting a spark from the battery cables when i remove the cables after charging it,then my battery dies,while I'm driving it,so I'm hoping someone can help me out,with a diagram of the alternator wiring.the complete set up.thank you
I have a draw in my rv electrical system tha is killing my aux. battery and would love to find a wiring schematic to find the problem. It is a draw from the breaker next to the battery booster solenoid and goes back to the fuse box and feeds both fuse boxes.Any help would be greatly appriciated.Its a 1986 Newmar Kountry Aire.

Any side as long as the system cant back feed the sys.i presume is 12 or 24 volt charge the easiest is to connect the direct possitive from alt to isolation ussally the center pole of unit then out to charging the seperate batteries
I purchased a 1995 used Winnebago Vectra. I have not seen the charge light for the solar charging. Supposed to charge with a rate of 110 watts.
I need a diagram so that I can trace it and make a check to see that it is connected right.

I am looking for the Electrical Wiring Diagram for a 2001 chevy S10 Regular cab. The people I purchased the truck from had converted the truck to a low rider with lights everywere. Most are now illegal in this state so I need to go through the truck and put the wiring back to its original form before I replace the ingnition switch.

Hi im shaun i have a 75 gmc short bed 4x4 and it had a step side who ever had it before me screwed the wires up on the tail lights so what i did is put a regular bed on it and i realy am having trouble with the wiring need the color codes for the right to the chasis and the left to the chasis basicaly if someon could help me i need a wire diagram actualy showing the colors of the wiring and were they go i need this truck up and going soon thank you. gmc man

I had a similar problem on my 1979 and found that the contacts on the water tank and sewage tanks were rusted and not making contact. Once I removed them and cleaned all the contacts and wire connections I put on some dielectric grease and never had another problem.
If you could tell me what year you vehicle is and I could help you as well what how many prongs does your switch have I will need to know to give a possible solution
Actually there are 4 Battery(hot) field,stater & ground having same problem myself,this is what I've learned so far, all but the ground (2 fram or body) should go through the voltage regulator u may have 2 look on back of alt 2 see whats what good luck Jo
The "clutch fluid" (which is brake fluid when u look it up) is located on the top and connected to the air filter holder. That should set u in the right direction. Find the leak, which is probably the hose, and fix it and refill to proper level.
