I am in the process of changing my factory tail, park, and turn signals to the new L.E.D.s. They have the usual 3 wire conn. I changed the tailamps without a problem. They work just fine. When I went to the front park/turn lamps and hooked up the 3 wires. They don't work. Now even the back tail lights don't work. But, if I take a test light, ground the one end, and touch the test light to the turn/park wire, they work! I do not understand why! Is there a trick to wiring the LED's? Or does Chrysler do something goofy in their wiring? If I put the original front turn signals back in, all the lights work normal. But if I take them out, and use the LED's in their place, they quit working. it's an easy 3 wire hook up, and I don't understand why in the world the test light makes them work, all it is, is another light. Any help would be great!! Thanks!! Randy.
L.e.d.s only work with current in 1 direction, I am not positive but I think that the front light circuit in your rv grounds both through the body ground and through the turn signal switch.
When your parking lights are on the turn signal switch supplies voltage to the ground side of the front turn signal making it blink.
This is why the rear lights will work with the old front marker lights and not with the new LED lights.
