We had two of these furnaces replaced by RV vendor (at his expense) after we had already purchased a pre-owned unit, as they pose a serious risk of carbon monoxide exposure.
Due to a design problem, the combustion chamber has a tendency to crack resulting in carbon monoxide leaking into the RV galley.
We only became aware of this problem when we took our RV in to have the propane system certified and were informed that, unless the furnaces were replaced the decal could not be updated. |
