I have a 98 Ford Ranger 4X4 and when uhaul set up the electrical for towing my 4 wheel drive went out and then my turn signals, speedometer and wipers all went out one by one. All the fuses are good but some seem top be missing. Any suggestions????( other that going back to uhaul...already tried that)
If all the fuses are good, then it sounds as if they have unplugged a connector somewhere when they were wiring up the towing unit, and haven't seated it back properly and it is working loose disconnecting each circuit in turn. If the circuits were being overloaded due to shorts then the fuses should blow (obvious,I know, but just working it through as I write this).....
The fact that you think some of the fuses are missing 'should' be irrelevant if the wipers, and turn signals were working at any time after you left uhaul. If they were working then the fuses for those items must have been there initially.
I can't though think of why there should be a single connector that would carry the circuits for all the items you have listed... unless... your 4-wheel drive is electrically switched from the dash... in which case I would start checking all the connectors in and under the dash area.
Sorry I don't have more of a definitive answer, but being 4000 miles away (UK) I can't exactly offer to pop round and give you a hand.
