My 95 ford ranger did not pass emmissions due to high hydrocarbon count (unburned fuel) I replaced the catalytic converter 6 months ago due to a crack in the original one. The plugs were replaced at 103,000. It now has 122,000 on it. I function checked the egr with a vaccume and it appeared to work fine. I found that there was not much of a vaccume on the line going to the egr, but am not sure what the vaccume is supposed to be. I suspect something is causing a rich condition in this 2.3 L engine, but am not sure what it could be. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated as I am running out of time to pass emmisions. I also replaced the front 02 sensor which somehow improved the NO2 to a pass condition, but am still having problems with a rich condition.
Thanks
