On my 95 Ranger the seatbelt warning light will go out after about 3 minutes after starting the vehicle, however the warning chime will continue togo off as long as long as i am driving the vehicle, Ford wants $360.00 dollars plus 7 days to replace the chime board. and they say they are not sure that this will fix the problem. I have removed the fuse going to the seatbelt chime, however then the speedometer does not work. any one know a fix for this. also removing the board the vehicle will not run
I have a 95 ranger xlt and i had the same proublem with my chime staying on,i took the board out and the round modual on the left hand corner of the board were the chime noise came from i took a souardern iron and removed the modual from the board i have no chime anymore but it solved the problem the truck runs great.i hope this will help.
