A WHILE BACK SOMEONE WROTE A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF HOW A DODGE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM WORKED. I SHOULD HAVE SAVED IT. MY 1977 APOLLO HAS NO FIRE COMING OUT OF THE COIL. I HAVE POWER TO THE BAT SIDE OF THE COIL AND THERE IS POWER AT 4 POST OF THE BALLAST RESISTOR. SOUNDS TO ME THAT THE MAGNETIC PICKUP IS GONE. BUT IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO CAN INFORM FUTHER AS TO HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS AND WHAT NEXT TO TROUBLESHOOT IT WOULD BE GREAT.
I have a 1979 Minnie Winnie (Class C) with a Dodge 440 engine. Just recently I have noticed some sluggishness on start up with the acceleration--not much go, has happened when engine is cold. Has been unusually damp here, don't know if that factors. Troubleshooting? Thanks
Ray,I Had A 440 Kings Highway M/h,had trouble with the electric brain box, went to the junkyard, bought a connector from a wiring harness[the one that hooks to the box]and made an extension cord to remount the box behind the grill, where it stayed a whole lot coller, ending my problems.P.S. It used to be mounted at the rear of the engine,on top, just under the doghouse[engine cover]
