I have a 98 s-10 pickup, reg cab 4cyl, I recently aquired this truck and have noticed a pretty serious problem. The brake light fuse blows out, but only when the truck is running. I installed a new brake light switch and have checked the wires from front to back but cant seem to find the issue. Along with this the abs light on the dash is on but the truck stops on a dime. One other note is the turn signals act up as well, when they do the flasher squeals, but only when the left one is used. Any advice would be appreciated.
You have a short on the left turn and brake circuit, a piched or chaffed harness can be a pain to find. I am going to guess the the signal doesn't work on that side when this happens. Good Luck
