I just got a Coach House camper van and the battery went bad. When tested it showed that there was no output to the battery and something was puling 13.38 A when not running. We disconnected the house battery and turned off the circuit breaker to the coach and the drain went away.
My son replaced the alternator and battery but there is still no output to the battery when running. I think it may be the isolator but we have not located it yet.
Would a bad isolator cause both problems - backdrain and no charge to batteries?
