I just iherited a gulf stream sun voyager 1992 from a relation who has passe away. The other day i was running the engine and i turned on the generator for a couple of seconds to test it, later that day when i connected the motor home to mains power i found that none of the electrical appliances would work. I neglected to say in my first posting that i live in Ireland where the standard voltage is 240ac.Would appreciate any advice

Ahhh is this unit equiped for 230 volt 50 cycle power? If not what you just did is very bad, if it is correctly equeped for european power then you probably have a auto change over switch that has a bad contact or has another failure. Good Luck
Thanks for the quick reply bubba but now i need to know where such a switch would be located.
Terrible to know nothing about these kind of things

It is a case of you will have to find it. Follow the main output cable from the genset, at some point it will go to a box that also has the shore power feed into it, many units have it near the main breaker box, but many others have it near the genset, the box will house the change over switch. Good Luck
