I'm looking for a wiring diagram for a 1977 Dodge Sportsman motorhome. For some reason the house battery wont charge while driving down the road and the fuse under the hood and back by the battery blows. I have a person that can fix it but needs a wiring diagram
There is no wiring diagram of that system. There is a couple posiblities. There is a large relay to charge the batteries (triggered by the ignition switch being in the on position) or there is a diode isolator. Both will be near the alternator or batteries. If the house battery is wired correct and is at least partially charged you should be good to go. If the battery is very dead it will draw more juce off the chassis than the fuse will allow. The rest is very basic trouble shooting. Good Luck
