We have a 1994 Southwind(Fleetwood) Class A 30' RV. 1) What size is the gas tank? 2) What brand and part number for a correct replacement sending unit? 3) Can the wrong model of sending unit fit? [a service dept replaced(?) the sending unit. now at Full it is pegged above F, 16gals used displays between 7/8 and F(too high), 30gals used displays between 1/2 and 5/8(too low?) i.e. not proportional. could it be a wrong model of sending unit or could a bent float arm cause improper readings?] e.g. if 140 miles of gas is used and displays between 7/8 and F, then we have a 240gal tank. I don't think so! :o)
Sending unit is built into pump assembly---first off i would be checking some ground wires, bad connection might be the cause,
not sure but I think you have a 75 gallon tank-look in the closets for the Data sheet, or call Fleetwood,(Toll Free)have your Vin # ready.
