I am in need of a chassis wiring diagram for my 1994 coachman santara with a spartan chassis. every time i turn on anything in the dash it cuts the engine off... turn signals etc. please help
Have you checked all fuses? 2nd check all grounds with a test light or meter. Check the easy things first. It may have a fuse out or open somewhere and using 12 volts from a dash circuit to run on. Also could be a bad ground with the run circuit using something like a lamp to get the ground thru.When you turn on a lamp it puts 12volts on both sides of the run circuit.You may want to check the IGN. switch for a open or poor connection. When voltage feeds back thru other circuits like it sounds like what is happening here it can drive you crazy looking for the problem. I have a 1995 Santara Coachman. I have been trying to find the fuse for the windshield wipers. I had my RV worked on and some how they messed up the wiring for the wipers.
I have a 95 coachman/ spartan chassis and had same problem. The problem is a dirty/ corroded connection on the section of electrical bus that is energized when the run switch is on. Our ours, it was under the rear bed. What happens is when you turn on the turn signals, the voltage drops enough to let the hold solenoid for the fuel shut off valve to drop out and the fuel valve closes. Just find the bus section that is hot only when the switch is on and you will find the relay for the fuel shut off valve and your turn lights. On ours, it was the section with the left turn lights.
