Just returned from rv trip. I have two identical 12 vold deepcycle batteries, both 1 year old. I filled & charged both 3 weeks ago. A week ago I smelled a very noxious smell coming from the front of the coach. Raising the hood I found that one of the battries was cool and the other was hot and frying. What could cause the frying?
An internal short in the battery. Or less likely the cool one was disconected (corosion on a terminal etc) and the hot one was beeing over charged by a failed charging system. Good luck
I have a Class C Coachmen with a single kwikee step. It operates from a switch by the door. It is in the out position and I can't get it to retrack. The battery is fully charged. Is there a fuse I don't know about. Can't seem to find any except the one in the fuse box and it's OK.
Help!
Stuck Step: Make sure house batteries are full charged and turned on. Check the connectors underneath the step,(the controller) mine did the same, I cleaned all connectors and it did the trick.
