I just recently purchased a used 27 foot winnebago Chieftain and the converter/battery charger was not hooked up. The previous owner said he did not try to hook it up. I have been able to hook it up, I believe correctly, and my question is: Do I need to have the auxillary batteries turned on to run the lights even when I am hooked up to a shoreline power source? Should the converter/battery charger supply the power for the 12 volt lights without the auxillary battery switch on? Thanks for the help.
Can someone tell me if an onan generator marquis gold 5500 charge the startup battery or do i have to buy something else seperate to keep the battery charged
