P-30 Brake Lockup William 2-18-08  
I have a 94 Winnebago Brave on a P-30 chassis. I had a leaking master cylinder that was replaced at a local repair shops. A short time after that the brakes lock completely up. After sitting for a while the brakes released and we took it back to the repair shop. This time they replaced the front calipers. On our next trip the brakes locked up again. The repair shop replaced the new master cylinder and both new calipers. On the next trip we drove approximately 200 mile and the brakes locked up. A Chevy dealer replaced the brake hoses to the calipers, flushed the brake system and flied with new fluid. The brakes worked fine for about 1400 miles and locked up this weekend after driving about 80 miles. Does anybody have any ideas as to what to look for next?

Check the pus rod length for the master cylinder. If it happens again pull the entire vacume fitting out of the booster. The brake booster can do this. Good Luck

Am having the same problem with a 1992 southwind on a P30 frame. I am being told that there is a power assist valve that is probably sticking. I don't know yet if it can be repaired or if it has to be replaced. Apparently when you apply the brakes the valve sticks and will not allow the fluid to flow back to the reservoir fast enough to release the brakes. Over a period of time this pressure bleeds off and the brakes will release until you apply them again. Hope this helps and if anyone knows if this valve can be rebuilt or not please let me know.

I would bet that you have to munch brake fluid in the master cyl when you get the brake fluid hot it expands then it applys the brakes then they get hot the fluid in the clapers starts to expand a nd you know the rest take some fluid out of the master cyl and see what happens.

I had the same problem with my 82 Fleetwood. Try this, after the brakes lock up, loosen the connection behind the wheel where the rubber brake lind connects to the steel line and let some pressure off.See if that releases the brake, you may have to do this on each wheel, just let the pressure off and see if it releases the brake on that wheel.
If it does then the rubber line is coming apart on the inside and acting like a CHECK VALVE.
I replaced the rubber lines and have not had a problem.,Good Luck
