I have had my Cobalt in the shop 3x's now for brake lockup. This final time it finally locked up for the technician. While driving the brakes just start to drag and after driving for a period of time when you get out of the car the rims are so hot that you can't touch them. They have adjusted the brake light switch, first visit, then the second visit they checked all lines and calipers and found nothing wrong. I got the car back and the very next day they locked up while getting off the interstate. All four! Again too hot to touch the rims. Now they are going to replace the rotors, calipers and pads. I personally think it is the ABS module going bad. I would think that they would have to replace the brake fluid also because it has probably broke down in viscosity, but what do I know I'm a woman. Any thoughts???? It sure has my GM dealership puzzled. I have 15,400 miles on the car. |
