Transmission Brake? by R. Starr
Post New Message I have a 1978 Pace Arrow 28' motor home. The problem I have is that while driving I have a severe vibration. Tires out of balance has been eliminated. With motor home jacked up with all wheels off of the ground and transmission engaged I have the vibration. If I disconnect the drive shaft I have no vibration. When I then put in gear I have the vibration back. I do not believe it is in the transmission. But I do wonder if the brake drum on shaft out of transmission has lost a weight or has become out of balance some other way. I am looking for some thoughts on and if it is the drum, where might I find one of these and if it is much of a job to change.
Thanks in advance
